Singapore's secrets to being a strong and vibrant country has been well known- from being multi racial, to many others. Singapore's recipe to building a strong community has inspired many other countries around the world to follow suit. So, why is building communities and embracing diversities important?
Embracing diversities, like Singapore's multi racial equality policy, has been one of the most ever present subject. Singapore gave everyone equal status- that meaning no one was above anyone in status. As long as they worked hard and achieved results, they would be rewarded. With this in mind, this policy motivates every single fellow singaporean out there to work, and sends out a strong message reminding them that as long as they work, they get rewarded.
Building communities, has also been crucial in singapore prospering as a country. Singapore has constantly been forging good relationships with our neighboring countries, like Malaysia, India, and Indonesia. It has done so by constantly having sharing programmes and having free trade, in turn boosting both countries economy and building strong ties with each other.
